Saturday, March 14th will be National Potato Chip Day. In America, this day is more commonly known as "three days before St. Patrick's Day," or, in this year's case, "Saturday."
As a result, your gift options are limited to potato chips, or perhaps a nice picture of potato chips.
Furthermore, you can't buy a card for Potato Chip Day (I visited the greeting card section of a local drugstore to confirm there were no Potato Chip Day cards for sale).
But what if you could? What would they say? Let's find out!
Readers, I'm introducing the first annual Potato Chip World National Potato Chip Day Greeting Card Contest.
Here are the rules: submit your greeting card ideas in the comments, email to us (you can use our Contact Us form), or tweet them to me @potatochipworld.
You have until Friday, March 13 to submit your entries. On the 14th, I'll announce the winner.
So what's first prize? Well, it's a real humdinger. I will make and send you the greeting card you submitted, and mail it to an address of your choosing. You may then be the first person to receive a national Potato Chip Day card. How historic!
There is no second prize.
To get your creative juices flowing, here are a few samples and the desired format (In the interest of fairness, I will not consider my own terrific ideas as the winner): Idea 1 FRONT: (Picture of a toad at a miniature work desk) INSIDE: (text)
The best cure for a rough day is a bag of potato chips.
Happy National Potato Chip Day Idea 2 FRONT: (Black and white photo. Beam of white light peeking through cluster of clouds) INSIDE: (text)
Potato chips make the good things better and the bad things not so bad, simply by being there.

As a new chapter closes in your life, and a new one begins, one thing stays the same: you enjoy consuming potato chips.
Happy National Potato Chip Day

Again, you can leave your suggestions in the comments or reply directly. I'll share the best next week. Good luck everyone!
